    Wedding day time line

    1) MOG seated first
    2) MOB seated right before wedding party
    3) Officiant, Groom and Groomsmen
    4) Bridesmaids
    5) Maid of Honor
    6) Unity Candle (optional)
    7) Ring Bearer
    8) Flower girl
    9) Bride (and father)

For the reception, this will depend mostly on the bride and groom. First of all... as many pictures as possible should be completed prior to the ceremony so that the guests are not waiting for pictures after the wedding. As soon as the ceremony is over the remaining pictures should be completed and done in (fingers crossed) less than an hour.

    From there:

    1) Wedding party introductions (can include parents)
    2) Welcome
    3) Dinner/Hors d'hoeurves
    4) Cake / Toasts (should be done within 45 minutes of the introductions, even if guests are still eating)
    5) First dance
    6) Parents dance (father/bride mother/groom)
    7) Bouquet and garter toss is usually near the end of the evening. (optional)

    Decor Package

What exactly is the decor package?

We have a great deal of window sill space at our venues, and utilizing the Decor Package is a great way to cost effectively take care of filling our mantles, window ledges and surface areas with lovely decorative items and candlelight. We also provide votive candlelight around your florists' centerpieces.

The Decor package includes fresh greenery, assorted accent pieces such as White and Ivory pottery and stoneware, glass pieces, and an abundance of candlelight displayed in candleholders of varying heights to create a warm, romantic glow throughout the space. The Decor Package includes the candles themselves, and we take care of all the decor set-up, as well as the lighting and extinguishing of the candles themselves.

Below are some pictures of the mantles, window sills and other decor interests at Homewood:

    Blocking Rooms

If you have family and friends coming into town for your event and would like a group of rooms held so they can be at the same hotel, you will want to block rooms.

Asheville is a destination for vacations as well as holidays. The busiest, and therefore costliest hotel rates are on Fridays and Saturdays. April through most of November is Asheville's busy season, with peaks from May to June, and again during foliage season --late September thru early November.

A hotel will block up to 10 or 15 rooms for you, then add more as the first set of blocked rooms book.

Asheville has a wonderful Chamber of Commerce.  The Conventions and Visitors Bureau offers a service to assist visitors with blocking rooms.  Kinsey Sand is on staff there, and acts as liason between the guest and hotels. She will take your information and the hotels will then email you their blocking quotes for you to review.
