If you have family and friends coming into town for your event and would like a group of rooms held so they can be at the same hotel, you will want to block rooms.

Asheville is a destination for vacations as well as holidays. The busiest, and therefore costliest hotel rates are on Fridays and Saturdays. April through most of November is Asheville's busy season, with peaks from May to June, and again during foliage season --late September thru early November.

A hotel will block up to 10 or 15 rooms for you, then add more as the first set of blocked rooms book.

Asheville has a wonderful Chamber of Commerce.  The Conventions and Visitors Bureau offers a service to assist visitors with blocking rooms.  Kinsey Sand is on staff there, and acts as liason between the guest and hotels. She will take your information and the hotels will then email you their blocking quotes for you to review.
